Built in BC, by BC, for BC societies

Your society has real obligations.
We make them easy to meet.

Society Vault is simple governance software for BC societies — built by people who know what running a volunteer board actually looks like.

Sound Familiar?

If you’re running a BC society, you probably have a Google Drive that’s not quite as organized as you’d like.

Somewhere in there are last year’s minutes, a director list that’s a bit out of date, and a consent form that never got sent to the new board member. An annual report deadline quietly passed because it was in someone’s personal calendar. A conflict of interest went undisclosed because there was no process to capture it.

You’re not doing anything wrong. Running a volunteer board is hard. But BC societies do have real legal obligations — proper minutes, current director records, documented decisions — and if you receive gaming grants, the expectations are even higher.

Society Vault gives you one simple place to keep all of it.
So you’re always ready when someone asks.

Why It Matters

BC societies have real compliance requirements.

Under the BC Societies Act, your organization is required to keep proper records, hold regular AGMs, and maintain accurate director information. If you receive gaming grants, the bar is even higher.

Society Vault was built in BC, by a BC CPA, for BC societies. Every template, every deadline, every requirement reflects how things actually work here — because we’ve been working with BC societies for over 10 years.

Questions

Common questions.

Does my society need to be registered in BC?
Yes. Society Vault is designed for societies incorporated under BC’s Societies Act. If you’re registered federally or in another province, it’s likely not the right fit.
How does the free tier work?
If your society’s most recent annual report shows under $40,000 in revenue, you get full access at no cost. No credit card, no expiry. New societies with no filing history also qualify.
Where is our data stored?
On servers in Toronto, Canada. Your society’s records never leave the country.
We already have documents in Google Drive. Can we bring them in?
Yes. You can upload documents directly, and we’ll help you get set up during onboarding.
What if we want to stop using it?
You can download everything — all your documents and records — at any time. Your data belongs to your society.
When does it launch?
Beta launches July 2026. Join the waitlist and we’ll be in touch. Organizations on the waitlist get priority access.
